Botulinum toxin app enables patients to be active participants in their treatment journey

Updated: Jan 26, 2022

2022 will see our most anticipated technology release to date: the BnTx INTERACT Patient app

Sydney, Australia – 25 January 2022 This year, BnTx INTERACT will launch an app for patients, which will be fully integrated with the clinic software. The app will be available on desktop, mobile, tablet, and watch, and aims to collect passive and active data in between consults.

The app will enable the transfer of information, such as treatment effectiveness and symptom progression, between physician and patient remotely. Patients can enter their symptoms, medications and quality of life scores via the app in between treatment. This data is accessible to the physician in real-time or prior to a consultation.

Other features will include appointment reminders, visual scales and dashboards of patients' treatment, and a portal for educational material.

BnTx INTERACT CEO, Anthony Avvenevole says the app will be a step forward in the migraine and botulinum toxin treatment space.

"Technology can now allow accurate symptoms tracking to better inform treatment decisions. The accumulation and presentation of data is entering a new age for physicians, an age which will accommodate patient expectations and involvement; perhaps, impacting motivation in sometimes difficult-to-treat conditions."

The BnTx INTERACT patient app will be released in 2022. The clinic software is available now for clinics and physicians of botulinum toxin.
